An interesting variety from the USA raised in 1937.
The fruits are large, oval and of very fine quality - would likely also make a fine exhibition Plum as the fruits are quite striking. the skin colour is a lustrous red-purple. The inner flesh is sweet and yellow and easily stoned. Freezes very well.
Season early september.
Good pollinators include Swan, Thames X, Opal, Queens Crown, Victoria etc.
Well worth growing.
