Ready for picking early October and will keep into the new year. The fruits are medium sized and a dark mahogany red. The skin is very smooth with an excellent bloom and becoming brighter as the fruit ripens. The flesh is fine, white, juicy and sweet, with a very good flavour. The majority of the fruits are of Class 1 grade, and this variety is becoming very popular. The tree is moderately vigorous, upright and spreading and is a heavy and regular copper. The blossom is fairly frost tolerant. Also good for the north and west. Good pollinators are: Greensleeves, Redsleeves. Discovery and Coxs Orange. Recommended.
