    A storing variety for eating December to March. Firm flesh with a very rich and aromatic flavour. Fruits green/yellow flushed with red stripes. A vigorous, spreading tree. Also crops well in the west. Pollinators include: Redsleeves, James Grieve, Discovery etc.

For improved pollination any one of the following is ideal: American Mother, Edward VII, Tydeman’s Late Orange, Orleans Reinette, Howgate Wonder etc.

  • Belle De Boscoop Apple Trees

    A large, crisp, juicy apple of the Blenheim type, that has good Scab resistance. Makes a large wide tree. Very heavy cropping. A dual purpose variety often used for cooking. Suitable for the West.

  • Blenheim Orange Apple Trees

    An excellent variety for dessert and cooking. A real dual purpose variety with exceptional flavour. Crisp, yellow flesh, with a fine sub-acid flavour. Medium to large fruits that are yellow with a fine russet and striped dull red. For eating November to January. Resistance to Mildew, crops are sometimes light until the tree is established.   • Bramley’s Seedling Apple Trees

    The most popular culinary variety for late autumn picking, and will store until late February with ease. Previously considered too large for the garden, but not so with the new dwarfing rootstocks. Bramley has responded very well to the new rootstocks which make very manageable trees with an increase in fruit size. The large fruits are green to yellow-green and the creamy white flesh is superb for cooking. The trees are vigorous with stout branches, forming a spreading tree.   • Cobra Apple Trees

     Raised from a cross between Cox’s and Bramley, hence the name.  A good new dual purpose apple for the garden. It’s large and handsome fruits can suit dessert use later on in it’s season and are perect for those who prefer  atangy, slightly sharp apple. For cooking the fruits are suited to all purposes and need little or no sugar. Season – November to January, sometimes longer. Kent raised, 2007. Highly recommended. For full crops pollinate with any two mid season varieties such as Red Falstaff, Saturn, James Grieve, Fiesta, Rajka, Redsleeves, Kidds Orange Red, Howgate Wonder, Bountiful etc. 

  • Crispin Apple Trees

    The fruit is large, oblong, bright green, changing to golden yellow, with an occasional orange/brown flush The flesh is white, firm, juicy and the flavour is very, very pleasant. Ideal for eating fresh from the tree, or will store well into the new year, or even spring.   • Sturmer Pippin Apple Trees

    For eating from January to April, A compact tree that crops well. The large, rounded fruits are pale primrose yellow with a slightly rosy flush and should be left on the tree as long as possible before picking. Very exceptional flavour and very high in Vitamin C. Excels in the south west and western side of England, as it prefers a light soil and a warm situation for the very best results. A triploid variety that needs two other varieties for full pollination. Pollinators include: Kent, Rosemary Russet, Sunset, James Grieve, Greensleeves, Arthur Turner, Emneth Early etc.

    Known since the 1700’s no less. A large pale green conical to round apple which turns pale yellow towards the end of its season. The fresh green tinged white flesh has a very fine rich flavour and the fruits should be harvested in September, keeping well into December.

Fruits can be small for the first 2 years, but then improve to give heavy crops of high quality fruits. Raised from a cross between Golden Delicious and Cox.
