PLANTING AND SUPPORTING
As for apples and pears. Prune to maintain a goblet shape with an open (not bare) centre. After the fourth year very little pruning is necessary. In February apply Growmore at 3oz per square yard and in late March use Sulphate of Ammonia at loz per square yard.
HARVESTING
Leave the fruits on the tree as long as possible normally late October, Store for about 1 month in trays or boxes in a cool place to allow the fruits to mellow.
